Your Personal Data is held on secured servers hosted by Active Online and on secured servers at our premises. The nature of the Internet is such that we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us via the Internet. No data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. However, we will take all reasonable steps (including appropriate technical and organisational measures) to protect your Personal Data.
You may inform us of any changes in your Personal Data, and in accordance with our obligations under the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003, Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data and on the Free Movement of Such Data, and any implementing and/or amending legislation as may be adopted in Ireland from time to time, we will update or delete your Personal Data accordingly. If you're involved in the admin or management of a professional organisation you would be hard pressed to find a web agency with the the same level of expertise and experience in online membership management. Our expectations were high and the WDI team delivered. Within five weeks we were ready to launch our new website and with automated admin functionality and integrated eCommerce capability. Among other things, the WDI team were aware of and passionate about privacy and web security, another important consideration for us, and I'm sure other associations holding personal data online.
We searched high and low for an off-the-shelf software product we could use to bring together our manual and semi-manual business processes into a coherent system to support our business growth ambitions. In all cases, from the top level ERP systems down to more rudimentary BPM solutions we felt that we would have to alter how we did things just to fit into the models supported by their software, and we experienced strong kick-back and/or high costs on any custom development. Fortunately for us, I had engaged Jeremiah and his team on another project (SMARTLOTTO) and saw their capability and therefore decided to build from the ground up. Tackling first the simplest automation issues, we build module by module to now having a core BPM solution in place that has transformed how we do business. It was a tough decision to make, but the risk was worth it, and as each module came online huge efficiency benefit accrued. Obviously it is still a work in progress, but we have a partner in WDI that facilitates us fully and provides the level of responsive development and support that we need.
I genuinely wish we had met with Jeremiah and the WDI team a few months earlier than we did. It would have saved a lot of pain as well as cost. Demonstrably an agency that has indepth knowledge and experience with online retail, we felt comfortable from the start and were able to concentrate on content production safe in the knowledge that WDI had our back covered when it came to Payment Gateway selection, SEO, Design and project deployment. It was hard work meeting the task requirements as set out by WDI for content production and quality, however having them available to assist and advise the whole way made the task easier.
