When VIP (Vision Independent Productions) came looking for a web agency to partner with for this project, they arrived at our offices at the end of a long day of meetings vetting potential companies. They looked tired and I think were expecting to have to endure yet another "powerpoint" pitch on how great a web company they had just arrived at.
Putting them at ease, we informally chatted about the potential marketing opportunities that could be created out of well produced DIY instruction videos and after 30 minutes we had a wish-list of enhanced functionality for the project that included: autocreation of QR codes to allow videos to be tagged to products in-store, the creation of user-printable shopping lists for each DIY project (video), and the requisite back-office admin support to allow Woodie's Staff acquire the high resolution QR codes from the system including the potential for future integration of these lists into the Woodie's online retail infrastructure. They were now smilling and excited about the possibilities and went away on a buzz.
